How many of you are snack addicts?
I swear my mom will eat one actual meal a day, and the rest of the time she just snacks.
Today's Wave Soda blog will bring you a few awesome tips on how to create healthy snacking habits!
Keep Healthy Snacks Around
This feels like one of those "duh" moments where you read something obvious and you think to yourself, "of course, that's a no-brainer".
This trick actually works though.
When your cravings hit and you start your snack search, you find only smart

options and your only choice is to start healthy snacking!
Here's a list of some healthy snacks and drinks:
- pretzels
- Wave Soda
- cucumbers and hummus
- carrots
- cherry tomatoes
- 100% fruit juice
- nuts
- fruits
Junk food is so hard to resist because it tastes good but also, it's just so convenient!
To combat this, try and stock your fridge and pantry with snacks that take little to no preparation and can be eaten on the go.
Are You Sure You're Hungry?
This is a question I have to ask myself a lot.
Especially now, when we have been stuck inside for months on end, it has been exceptionally difficult to not act like the Cookie Monster and gobble down everything in my path.
One way to help with this is to make sure you are staying hydrated!
Often, we are not drinking enough fluids and can get stomach aches or headaches and attribute these to hunger when in reality we are dehydrated.
Try drinking 1/2 your body weight in ounces in a day. Sparkling water, like Wave Soda, is a great option if you do not enjoy the taste of still water.
Another tip is to keep track of when you are eating.
Maintaining a healthy snacking schedule can help to reduce the amount of overeating you do.
If you keep track of when you ate your last big meal, you will probably need a snack 2-3 hours after that.
It is normal to eat something every 2-3 hours during the day, so in between meals it is smart to have a small snack.
To implement this tip best, it's smart to eat a full meal every 4-5 hours, starting with breakfast which is the most important meal of the day!
Lastly, drink more Wave Soda!
Sure, it might be a little biased of me to add this one, but it actually has a practical application.
When you start your healthy snacking journey and begin to treat your body with healthier options, a habit begins.
Drinking our low-calorie, no added sugar, healthy soda, can help to create other healthy habits in your life.
Plus, during the entire month of October $2.00 will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation for every 24-pack sold.
