Practicing Healthy Habits
Well, today we are unsealing our lips to bring you a few helpful tips to creating and maintaining healthy habits. These can be used often as you like to create positive mental and physical health.
Drinking enough fluids during the day is so underrated, y'all!
Headache? Drink some water.
Stomachache? Drink some water.
Feeling down? Water, baby!
I know sometimes water can get a little boring, which is why Wave Soda is your new best friend. Made of 85% sparkling water and 15% fruit juice, it is the perfect way to keep your fluid intake up, but also not get bored with plain ol' H2O.
Gargle Coconut Oil
I bet you haven't heard of this one!
This is one of my favorite hacks. I try to do this religiously but I often forget. It's no biggie, life is all about balance.
Here's what to do:
- Take a spoonful of coconut oil and pop it into your mouth
- Swish it around for a couple of minutes (the time is up to you!)
- Spit it out and rinse your mouth with warm water
Voila! You should notice your teeth whitening within just a few uses. Coconut oil also helps kill unwanted bacteria in the mouth and even treats bad breath.
Ever heard of this one? It's pretty self-explanatory.
Each day you should try and practice at least five minutes of grounding.
All you have to do is go outside and find some grass, sand, or even dirt, and then take your socks and shoes off and stand in it!
Yep, that's literally all it is.
Grounding, also called Earthing, transfers Earth's electrons into the body. This allows the body to realign and has been found to improve sleep, reduce chronic pain, and help treat anxiety and depression.
Remember, it takes 21 days to create a habit so now is as good as a time as any to get start!
