Low-Sugar, Sparkling Berry Freeze Pops

Is your sweet tooth constantly raging? Sames. And you know what? I’m not the kind of person who feels sorry for eating sweets. Like…ever. But sometimes I do like to be nice to my body. You know, ‘my body is a temple’ and all that blah blah blah. So, out of respect for my little temple, I don’t feed it Reeses cups every day. However, all my fellow candy monsters know that a day without a little somethin’ somethin’ sweet just won’t do!

Fruit is usually the way to go when you’re trying to get on that healthy sweet game. Mangoes with a touch of salt is always a nice treat. Or some super ripe strawberries cut up in cottage cheese. But that doesn’t satisfy something as strong as an ice cream craving. No, to conquer that you have to get a little creative.

That’s why we made up the perfectly sweet (potentially boozy) summer treat for all you healthy tryhards out there! 

What you’ll need:

Paper cups
Popsicle sticks
Aluminum foil
Wave Soda
Berries (I used strawberries and blueberries)
Blackberry Wave Soda
Optional: Vodka

Fruit Me!

First, fill each of your cups up about halfway with mixed berries.


Pour the Blackberry Wave right over the fruit. If you want to add vodka, leave enough room for an ounce in each. If your not feeling particularly boozy, go ahead and fill the cups to just below the brim with your healthy, sparkling soda.

Stick a…Stick in me? (No, that’s not the saying…)

What’s the aluminum for, you ask? It will hold your popsicle sticks upright! Cover the top of each cup then go ahead and stab your sticks right on through the foil.

You there! Freeze!

Pop those puppies in the freezer for 3-4 hours. (I know… we wish they’d freeze faster too!)

Strip ‘em Down

Once you can feel that they’re nice and frozen, tear the paper cup gently off of each pop.

That’s it! That’s all! You’re pretty little pops are ready to enjoy. Serve them (alcohol free) at your kid’s birthday party or (booze in) for the next summer kickback at your place!
