Flegg is an egg substitute made from flax meal and water.
You can make it by mixing, 1 tbsp flax meal with 3 tbsp of hot water.
Chia seeds offer a similar function as the flegg.
To make, mix 1-2 tbsp of chia seeds with hot water and let it sit before adding it to your mixture.
Fun fact: chia seeds are a great source of Omega 3!
Baking Soda and Vinegar
If you've ever mixed baking soda and vinegar together, you know the pair produce a frothy, bubbly mixture.
This will add a fluffy, airiness to your baked goods.
Mix 1 tsp of baking soda with 1 tsp of white vinegar to replace 1 egg.
Applesauce or Mashed Banana
These two egg substitutes will work best in a recipe that already calls for a leavening agent, since the egg would've just been used for moisture.
Use ¼ cup applesauce or mashed banana for 1 egg.
Yes that's right! I said carbonated water!
