3 Ways To Cut Stress For A Refreshing Resolution

It's a common trend among New Years resolutions to get healthy and exercise more. Unfortunately, it is often that these resolutions actually cause stress and pull us further away from our goals!

This year, why not choose a refreshing resolution that you can achieve with less stress and headache?

Scroll down to get three tips from your favorite healthy soda on cutting stress and achieving your goals this year.

Stay Consistent

In a previous Wave Soda blog post we spoke about discipline over motivation.

Practicing discipline is similar to this helpful hint: stay consistent!

There are going to be times when you are tempted to get a Dr. Pepper but don't! You can kick that habit if you consistently choose healthier options, like our all-natural, unsweetened soda.

If you are going out of town, or will be pulled from your regular routine, that's okay! You are more than capable of adjusting to changes. Remember to keep discipline and stay consistent to your New Year resolution. It will be worth it!

Begin Your Day With A Workout

If working out regularly is part of your New Year's resolution, then try to do it in the mornings before your day starts. Most people have heard this before, but a reason a lot of people end up breaking this resolution is because they get busy and their days get long and then they don't feel up for a workout later on.

So, set yourself up for success and get your workout done first thing in the morning!

Fun fact: physical activity like a workout or training allows your body to release endorphins which trigger positive feelings in the body

How exciting is that?!

Basically, working out in the morning can set you up to have a positive day.

Keep A Journal

This one may seem a little odd, but you don't have to write about your feelings if you don't want to.

A journal is a great place to store ideas, work through problems, and keep track of your New Year resolution.

For instance, if your 2021 refreshing resolution is to say, "goodbye sugary soda" and "hello health and wellness", try keeping a log in your journal of how many times you cheated on and drank traditional soda, and then also keep track of how many times you stuck to your New Year resolution and picked up a healthy soda alternative instead!

Having a log of this information is a great way to track your resolution progress and see what areas need improving and what areas you are doing great in!
